We are often encouraged to donate blood. My doubt is whether blood donation affects our sex drive? How long after blood donation, can we have sex? Are women who have their periods, allowed to donate blood during that time?
I have heard that all collected blood is checked for HIV and AIDS. Is the person informed later, if his/her blood is found to be infected? Are gays and lesbians allowed to donate blood?
